Ok Day 1. not sure what to expect. Fired up the DVD and this crazy guy Tony Horton comes in. He is fired up and you can tell he is ripped. Very casual demeanor and encouraging. The three people working out with him are obviously in great shape and have done the program before. Here is my day 1 assessment.
Chest and Back - About 55 minutes. Alot of stretching and getting warmed up at the start. Not a tough warm up at least for people who have done insanity but it got my body warm which is what I needed. this is a pretty straight workout. It is pulls ups and sit ups in different variation. It is 2 sets of 12 workouts. You do as many as you can. By the end I was sore in the upperbody but no winded which is good. Hopefully I will not be sore in the morning but I have a feeling I will. I feel good in the upper body especially the arms.
Ab Ripper X - About 16 minutes. this was the harder of the two workouts. Just think 25. 25 reps of 12-15 times of ab workouts. alot of them are with your legs in the air that are tough for me. I did about 10-15 in each series but it was no picnic. Alot of work on the ground which I definitely felt. Thought this ab workout was harder than cardio abs in insanity.
Overall I felt good after my first day. Check out my youtube channel for other commentary about my journey with P90X. Hope you continue to follow and tell your friends. 89 days left!!! :)
Tommorrow Day 2 Plyometrics.
Thanks
